International break nightmare for Galatasaray

The international break has turned into a nightmare for Galatasaray. The yellow-reds' star players have suffered various injuries while at their national team camps, a situation that appears set to put the club in a difficult position.

SALLAI INJURED

Galatasaray's Hungarian player Roland Sallai was unable to play in the match between Turkey and Hungary due to a groin injury. 

Other key Galatasaray players, Kaan Ayhan and Barış Alper Yılmaz, also suffered injuries while with the national team. Kaan Ayhan was injured during the first half of the match against Hungary and was replaced by Mert Müldür. Barış Alper Yılmaz, after receiving a blow to his foot in the first half, was replaced by Deniz Gül for the second half.

Kaan Ayhan and Barış Alper Yılmaz did not participate in the A National Team's training session on Friday. A statement from the A National Team indicated that both players would not take part in the remaining matches following the Hungary encounter.

Yunus Akgün, who did not participate in the A National Team training sessions before the match against Hungary, was not included in the match squad. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that Yunus would not be able to recover in time for the return match against Hungary due to his injury and that the 24-year-old player had been removed from the squad.

The Spanish press reported that another piece of bad news for Galatasaray came from Spain. Alvaro Morata did not participate in Spain's training session on Friday and was reported to have fallen ill.
