In the 31st week of the Süper Lig, Eyüpspor defeated Adana Demirspor 6-0 at home. Following this historic win, club officials made noteworthy statements regarding Berke Özer. Eyüpspor Vice President Fatih Kulaksız stated that major European clubs, including Liverpool and Newcastle United, are scouting the young goalkeeper.
In his post-match assessment, Kulaksız addressed the transfer rumors, saying, "We sent Ahmed Kutucu to Galatasaray during the mid-season break, and now Berke Özer is a player we could potentially sell. Yes, there is interest in Berke. Today, not only Newcastle but also Liverpool's scouting team was here. We haven't received a formal request yet. We receive letters from those clubs, and we arrange their tickets. They come and watch. If a formal offer arrives later, we will provide you with the most accurate information firsthand."
Meanwhile, Eyüpspor President Murat Özkaya clarified the rumors regarding the young goalkeeper's potential transfer to Galatasaray.
Speaking to Beyaz TV, Özkaya used promising language regarding Berke Özer's career, stating, "Berke will be one of the top 10 goalkeepers in the world. Berke Özer will be wherever he wants to be."
Having guarded the Eyüpspor goal 30 times this season, Berke Özer kept a clean sheet in 12 of those matches and conceded a total of 30 goals.
