James expressed that he has not thought about whether Doncic joining the team would have an impact on his retirement plans.

"I haven't thought about it at all," said James, adding, "However, adding a player of this caliber, one of the best of his generation, to our roster excites me. I can't wait to see what we can do. I think we could be very good, but we'll wait and see."
James noted that sharing the court with Luka Doncic provides him with extra motivation, stating, "The court vision, skills, and style of a player like Luka bring a different atmosphere to our team. I'm not making long-term plans right now, but I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve for the rest of the season."
Meanwhile, the Lakers have recorded one win and one loss against the Utah Jazz in the first two games since Doncic joined the team.
