Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal made statements regarding the team's current status at the press conference held before the UEFA Champions League match against Aston Villa.
Kartal stated that they held their final training session in Istanbul, taking into account that the journey for the away game would be long. The experienced coach expressed that this choice was important for the players' rest.

Kartal said, "We have completed our preparations for tomorrow's match. In fact, knowing that it would be a long journey, we decided to hold our final training session in Istanbul so that our players could rest well here. We think it is good for us as well. Our team's energy and motivation are in very good condition."
In his assessment of Aston Villa, Kartal opened a separate parenthesis for the opposing team's manager, Unai Emery, drawing attention to the Spanish coach's successes in European cups.

Kartal used the expressions, "If you ask for our thoughts on our opponent, they have a manager who is worthy of appreciation. We truly admire Emery, who has been able to consistently win European cups in recent years."
Touching upon Aston Villa's squad, Kartal said that while some important players transferred to other clubs at the beginning of the season, the opponent still has effective names, especially in the attacking front.
