The Board of Directors of MKE Ankaragücü Club has unanimously appointed İsmail Mert Fırat as president following the resignation of Faruk Koca.
In a statement released by the club, it was noted that the board of directors, which met in an extraordinary session at the Beştepe Facilities, processed Faruk Koca's resignation letter, stating, "As a result of the resignation of our president, Mr. Faruk Koca, our vice president, Mr. İsmail Mert Fırat, has been unanimously elected to the vacant position of chairman of the board of directors."
Faruk Koca had punched referee Halil Umut Meler following the match they played against Çaykur Rizespor.
