Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı provided information about the club's current situation and future plans at a press conference held at Tüpraş Stadium. Adalı stated that they are making an intense effort to achieve Beşiktaş's economic and sporting goals.
Drawing attention to the work done during the transfer window, Adalı said, "Learning from the mistakes made in the past, we are trying to add the right players to our squad. We will not pay transfer fees for players over 32; they can come on one-season contracts. Our priority in transfers is the left-wing and right-back positions."
SOLSKJAER'S SITUATION
Adalı also responded to speculations regarding head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. "When we took office, we decided that Solskjaer was suitable for our projects, and we stand behind this decision. We are surprised by the criticisms. We will give our coach time, and once the transfers are completed, the responsibility will be his," he stated.
EVALUATED TRANSFER EFFORTS
Adalı also touched upon the difficulties experienced during the transfer process. "News reports that appear even when we are not interested in players like Rashford can misrepresent the club's financial situation. Furthermore, we believe that referee decisions should not overshadow the league," he said.
FUTURE PLANS
Providing information about Beşiktaş's future transfer strategies, Adalı said, "We need three more transfer windows. We are in the first transfer window, and we must be patient to take the right steps."
Adalı emphasized that they expect patience from the fans and that the club's interests are more important than anything else. He stated that Beşiktaş will move toward the future with firmer steps by learning from past mistakes.
