Italian journalist reveals! Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Mourinho!

According to a report by the famous Italian journalist Di Marzio on Sky Sport, Fenerbahçe has reached a 2-year agreement with Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

An official statement from the club is expected later this evening.

WHO IS MOURINHO?

Jose Mourinho was born on January 26, 1963, in Setubal, Portugal. He is a football manager and a former professional player.

Called "The Special One" by the British media, Jose Mourinho is one of the most accomplished managers ever and is widely considered to be among the greatest managers of all time.

A modest midfielder in the Portuguese leagues, Mourinho ended his playing career at the age of 24 and went on to work as an interpreter for Sir Bobby Robson at Sporting and Porto, before working as an assistant coach at Barcelona under both Robson and his successor, Louis van Gaal.

After short stints at Benfica and União de Leiria, Mourinho returned to Porto as manager in 2002, where he won two Primeira Liga titles, one Taça de Portugal, the UEFA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League, which was Porto's first European Cup title since 1987.

Following these successes, he became the manager of Premier League side Chelsea. In his three seasons at the club, he won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and two League Cups. He left the club in 2007 due to disagreements with the club's owner, Roman Abramovich.

In 2008, Mourinho moved to Italian club Inter Milan, where he won Serie A twice and, in 2010, achieved the European treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Champions League, a first for an Italian club. This made him one of five managers to have won the European Cup with two clubs and earned him the first FIFA World Coach of the Year award that same year.

Mourinho then moved to Real Madrid in Spain, where he won La Liga in the 2011-12 season with a record points total, becoming the fifth manager to win league titles in four countries. He also won a Copa del Rey and a Supercopa de España.

Mourinho left Real Madrid in 2013 and returned to Chelsea, where he won another league title and a League Cup, but was dismissed in 2015 following poor results. Remaining in England, he took charge of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, but his tenure at both clubs was relatively short and ended on a sour note. Despite this, Mourinho won the UEFA Europa League, the League Cup, and the FA Community Shield in his first season at Manchester United, and led Tottenham to the League Cup final, though he was fired less than a week before the final was played.

He was soon hired by Roma and won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League. This made him the first manager to win a major European competition with four clubs and the third manager to win all three major UEFA club competitions.

He was named the Portuguese Coach of the Century by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) in 2015 and became the first manager to spend more than 1 billion Euros on transfers.

Due to his tactical knowledge, charismatic and controversial personality, and his reputation for prioritizing results over attractive football, he has been compared by both fans and critics to Argentine manager Helenio Herrera.
