Muleka, who had a good pre-season camp with Beşiktaş this season and scored in the recent match against Başakşehir, received a call-up from DR Congo for 2026, but faced a major surprise when the squad for the match against Mauritania was announced.
Head coach Sebastien Desabre announced the squad at the hotel where they were staying before the match. It was alleged that Muleka, not seeing his name in the squad, did not go to the stadium where the match was to be played.
Following these developments, it was claimed that Muleka had been dropped from the squad by head coach Sebastien Desabre. However, a surprise statement came from Muleka regarding these events.
Jackson Muleka denied the rumors that he had been removed from the national team squad for the match to be played against Sudan.
In a statement on his social media account, Beşiktaş's young goalscorer firmly denied the claims of being dropped, stating, "None of what you see is true; the flag and the team come before everything else."
