Fenerbahçe is preparing to part ways with forward Jhon Duran, whom they signed on loan from Al Nassr at the beginning of the season. Following the recent addition of Youssef En-Nesyri to the squad, a second change in the yellow-navy blues' forward line has come to the agenda.
Reports in the Russian press suggest that Zenit Saint Petersburg has made significant progress in transferring Jhon Duran. According to the claims, the cost of the 22-year-old footballer's temporary transfer could reach a total of 4 million euros, including bonuses.
Within the framework of this agreement, the payment of the Colombian footballer's salary will continue to be covered by his current club. It is also stated that Zenit has added a 40 million euro purchase option to the deal.
While transfer negotiations are ongoing, Jhon Duran's behavior off the pitch has also become a topic of discussion on social media. In particular, the player's past disciplinary problems—receiving red cards due to aggressive behavior, occasionally arriving late to training, and being involved in various internal team disputes—have been met with concern by Russian fans.
SCORED 5 GOALS AT FENERBAHÇE
In the first half of the past season, Jhon Duran appeared in a total of 21 matches wearing the Fenerbahçe jersey, delivering a notable performance by scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. It remains a matter of curiosity how Duran, who draws attention with his talents, will perform at his new destination.
