Joint statement from Fenerbahçe and A. Efes
Fenerbahçe Beko and A. Efes have issued a joint statement regarding the news that Israeli teams will play their home games in Israel starting from December 1, 2025.
The statement from the two clubs included the following:
"Reports have emerged in the EuroLeague regarding the possibility of Israeli teams playing their home games in Israel again starting from December 1, 2025.
During an informal meeting held by the EuroLeague management on October 21, 2025, evaluations were made regarding the matches of Israeli teams.
Although it was stated in the press release shared by the EuroLeague following the meeting and in the statements made by EuroLeague CEO Paulius Motiejunas to media outlets that all members acted with a common consensus in the decision-making process, no voting took place at the meeting in question; only a decision to monitor the issue was taken.
A. Efes Sports Club and Fenerbahçe Beko expressed their negative views on the matter and clearly voiced their concerns regarding the situation that would arise should such a decision be taken.
Our discussions with the relevant institutions of our state and the EuroLeague management are ongoing. Developments will be shared with the public."
