Footballer Josef de Souza, who previously played for Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, has broken his silence on his personal social media account regarding the events that took place during the Ankaragücü - Rizespor match.
"STRICTER REGULATIONS"
Souza included the following statements in his Instagram post:
"Many Turkish television programs are calling me to talk about what happened to the referee. I don't have much to say. Actually, I said everything last year and it is still valid. I extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery to referee Halil Umut Meler. I hope the federation will implement stricter regulations against such behavior towards referees and also players. I was judged for defending a teammate, and now time shows that I was right."
