Josef de Souza returns to Turkey! Here is his new team
Brazilian midfielder Josef de Souza, who previously played for Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, has returned to Turkey. Souza's new team is Başakşehir.
Başakşehir Football Club has added Brazilian player Josef de Souza, who also continued his career at Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, to its squad.
In a statement on the orange-navy blue club's official website, it was announced that a 1.5-year contract has been signed with the 34-year-old midfielder, who most recently played for the Chinese side Beijing Guoan.
Josef de Souza played for Fenerbahçe between 2015-2018 and for Beşiktaş between 2020-2023. The Brazilian footballer won Süper Lig, Turkish Cup, and Turkish Super Cup titles with the black-and-white team.
De Souza played in a total of 193 matches across all competitions in Turkey and scored 22 goals.
