Journalist Faik Çetiner laid to rest
Faik Çetiner, one of the prominent figures of the Turkish sports press, has been laid to rest following his passing at the age of 69.
The funeral ceremony for Faik Çetiner was held at the Galip Paşa Mosque in Erenköy. In addition to Çetiner's family, many well-known figures attended the ceremony, including Beşiktaş Club Divan Board President Ahmet Ürkmezgil, former Turkish Football Federation presidents Servet Yardımcı and Mehmet Ali Aydınlar, MHP Kocaeli Deputy Saffet Sancaklı, former minister Mehmet Ağar, coach Yılmaz Vural, and Youth National Teams Technical Coordinator Samet Aybaba. A large turnout from the press community and those who loved Çetiner was also observed.
Following the funeral prayer held at noon, Çetiner's body was laid to rest in the Karacaahmet Cemetery.
