The Kansas City Chiefs have emerged victorious in the Super Bowl, the championship game of the National Football League (NFL).

In the final held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22, clinching their second consecutive title and their third overall in the last five years.

In the match, which was followed by 61,629 fans, the Chiefs became the first team to achieve this feat since the New England Patriots, who won back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the Super Bowl's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the third time in his career.

In his post-match statement, 28-year-old Mahomes said, "I'm proud of my teammates, this is a great thing. We're not done yet, we're just getting started. We have a young team and we will keep going."
