Kayserispor lands in Istanbul after plane struck by lightning!
The Kayserispor delegation, set to face Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig tomorrow, has arrived in Istanbul following the unfortunate incident where their plane was struck by lightning.
Süper Lig side Kayserispor, who will face Fenerbahçe away tomorrow in the 36th week of the league, had previously returned to Kayseri after their plane was struck by lightning.
The yellow-red delegation took off from Erkilet Airport for Istanbul for a second time. The plane carrying the team landed at Istanbul Airport without any issues. As the players and technical staff boarded the team bus waiting for them, club press spokesperson Samet Koç presented flowers to Head Coach Burak Yılmaz.
OUR PLAYERS HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME
Stating that they reached Istanbul after a challenging flight, Yılmaz said, "It was a very troublesome flight. It is the first time a plane I was on was struck by lightning. Our players had a very difficult time. In fact, most of our players did not want to board the plane. Our players got back on the plane. Thank God we are finally here. Our journey started with difficulty, I hope it ends well," and thanked the flight authorities for providing them with assistance.
The yellow-red delegation then departed by team bus to the hotel where they will be staying.
