Following the match, Kayserispor Manager Burak Yılmaz announced his resignation.
In his post-match statement to the broadcaster, Burak Yılmaz emphasized that he was resigning because he believed a change in leadership would be beneficial for Kayserispor, stating the following:
"A change is needed, a change of blood is needed. We have done everything, and only one thing remains: my departure. I decided to step down because I love this city very much."
I would like to thank the Kayserispor community and the city. They deemed me worthy of this position, and I have fulfilled this honorable duty. We had a transfer ban, and I said I would not leave or make it an issue. But a change is needed, a change of blood is needed. We have done everything, and only one thing remains: my departure.
"I HAVE TO MAKE THIS DECISION TODAY"
I decided to step down because I love this city very much. I thank the city. I have had very valuable elders. I thank the esteemed president and the board of directors. A change of blood was necessary, and I have to make this decision today. I thank all of Kayseri. I hope they forgive me. I thank my players very much.
"KAYSERISPOR WILL BE BETTER"
I have embarked on a career in management, and God willing, I believe I will do what is necessary by improving myself. Sometimes, letting go is also important. May Kayserispor's path be clear. I hope they will be better without me. Perhaps doing good is also about letting go. I thank everyone. There is nothing else to say. May it be for the best for everyone. I hope Kayserispor will be better from now on."
