Provocative post from Kayserispor angers Galatasaray fans! 'No need for worry, no need'
Kayserispor reacted to the officiating of referee Atilla Karaoğlan following their match against Galatasaray.
Galatasaray, continuing their pursuit of the top spot in the 20th week of the Süper Lig, hosted Kayserispor at home.
The Yellow-Reds took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute with a goal from Nelsson. In the 45th minute, Kayserispor was awarded a penalty. Muslera saved Bahoken's penalty kick. The visiting team equalized in the 58th minute through Boa Morte.
Galatasaray was awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute following a VAR review. Mertens converted the penalty, determining the final result of the match.
Following the match, which ended 2-1, a post made from Kayserispor's official X (Twitter) account became a major talking point.
The post from Kayserispor featured a photo of Dries Mertens embracing referee Atilla Karaoğlan, with the caption, "No need for worry, no need."

On the other hand, Galatasaray also shared footage of the position leading up to Dries Mertens' goal that was disallowed for a foul, as well as the penalty awarded to Kayserispor.
In their statement, Galatasaray said, "All of Turkey has seen what things have come to through threats and intimidation, and that you have done nothing to prevent this and have instead hidden. From now on, we will speak the language you understand. This will not continue like this!"
