Kayserispor's response to 'formal notice': It is baseless and unfair

The statement issued by Süper Lig side Kayserispor is as follows:

"In the formal notice dated 08.10.2025, sent to our club by an individual who holds active membership and board membership in our official records, it was claimed that the membership occurred without their knowledge or consent. It is hereby brought to the public's attention that this formal notice, which contains threats of criminal complaints and is intended to damage the reputation of Kayserispor—a club that every member of our city holds dear and to which all its components are wholeheartedly committed—and our administrators, is completely baseless and unfair, especially at a time when unity and solidarity are needed most.

Kayserispor is our city's most important unifying force and its greatest brand, with its deep-rooted history, principled stance, and structure that brings together every segment of society. It is not just a sports club, but also a tradition, a sense of belonging, and a symbol of honor. Kayserispor membership and board membership are not merely duties; they are a source of great pride, responsibility, and honor.

"THIS HONOR IS A PRIVILEGE NOT GRANTED TO EVERYONE"

This honor is a privilege not granted to everyone. Examinations have determined that the individual in question has held active membership for many years and has effectively carried out the board duties that are the subject of the dispute. Therefore, the claim that the membership was 'involuntary' does not reflect the truth. It is clear that this perception created in the public eye targets not only Kayserispor but also the great Kayserispor fans, from 7 to 70, who have put in the effort since its founding and whose hearts beat with the same excitement. It should not be forgotten that Kayserispor is not a structure whose boundaries are drawn by this city; it is the shared passion of millions whose hearts beat in yellow and red all over Turkey and in every corner of the world.

Causing such debates on social media damages motivation, disperses the unifying atmosphere, and causes the greatest harm to this great community itself. For this reason, the individual in question, who has made statements damaging the corporate reputation of our club, has been referred to the Disciplinary Board with a request for expulsion. Kayserispor will continue its determination to protect the values it has carried from the past to the present; it will continue its mission of being the pride and unifying force of our city with the same faith and perseverance. We will continue to be a community that unites rather than targets, that binds together rather than divides, and that runs from success to success."
