Keny Arroyo has arrived in Istanbul

Looking to strengthen its squad during the mid-season transfer window, Beşiktaş made its first move by reinforcing the wing position with the signing of Keny Arroyo. The Black and Whites reached an agreement with Arroyo, who plays for the Ecuadorian league side Independiente del Valle, and brought the 18-year-old player to Istanbul.

The plane carrying Keny Arroyo arrived at Istanbul Airport's International Terminal after a 17-hour journey with a layover in Amsterdam. The player, born in 2006, then left the airport in a vehicle waiting for him. The young footballer will sign an official contract after undergoing a medical examination.

The 18-year-old player, who has signed a 4.5-year contract, will earn a salary of 400 thousand euros from Beşiktaş for the remainder of this season. In the following years, Beşiktaş will pay the player an annual salary of 800 thousand euros.

The 18-year-old winger, who grew up in the youth academy of the Ecuadorian representative Independiente del Valle, was promoted to the first team last season due to his performance. Arroyo has played for the Ecuador national team twice.

Playing in a total of 43 matches across all competitions for Independiente last season, Keny Arroyo scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists.

The Black and Whites announced the transfer of the South American player by saying, "Fasten your seatbelts, the Cheche Show is about to begin!"
