Kerem Aktürkoğlu transfer cost even more! UEFA penalty incoming for Fenerbahçe

While Fenerbahçe is going through difficult economic times with a total debt exceeding 27.3 billion TL and a tax burden of 8 billion TL, it is now facing a heavy fine as a result of UEFA's Financial Fair Play review. UEFA, the governing body of European football, has identified irregularities in the contracts the club signed with some of its players and its head coach.

It is alleged that double-entry bookkeeping was detected in the contracts signed with Kerem, Diego Carlos, Skriniar, and head coach Jose Mourinho. It was stated that the symbolic fee of 1,907 TL in Kerem's contract reported to the Turkish Football Federation was in reality much higher, between 7 and 8.75 million Euros annually, and that this payment was made through Safi Holding. This method was found by UEFA to be contrary to transparency and Financial Fair Play principles.

The yellow-navy club is expected to receive a fine of 15 million Euros, which corresponds to approximately 800 million TL, due to the aforementioned practices. It is stated that this penalty is expected to be finalized in the first week of June.
