Leyla Zana penalty for Bursaspor
Bursaspor has been fined by the Turkish Football Federation due to chants directed at Leyla Zana by its fans during the Somaspor match.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has fined Bursaspor due to abusive chants directed at Leyla Zana by its fans during the match played against Somaspor on December 16, 2025. The TFF imposed a fine of 16,000 TL on the club because such behavior was repeated for the second time within the same season.
In the same match, it was stated that Bursaspor received a fine of 211,000 TL for failing to keep stairwells clear, marking the seventh time this violation has occurred within the season. Additionally, a fine of 55,000 TL was issued for field incidents caused by fans, and a 60,000 TL fine was imposed for the improper use of credentials.
Somaspor, meanwhile, received a warning penalty due to abusive chants by its fans during the same match. The TFF's decisions were made based on the relevant articles of the Football Disciplinary Instructions.
