Jhon Duran, who is playing on loan at Zenit and is under contract with Al Nassr, has been linked with Galatasaray for some time. The long-awaited move has come as the Russian Premier League enters the final week of the season.
In an official statement released by the Zenit club, it was stated, "The Zenit management and the Colombian forward have reached an agreement for the player to take leave due to personal circumstances. Details regarding his return date will be announced in the coming days." This statement has further fueled transfer rumors surrounding the footballer, who has reportedly been in Istanbul for the past two days.
The 22-year-old forward Jhon Duran scored 2 goals in 9 matches for Zenit during the second half of the season. Although he was included in the squad for the last two league matches, he did not take the field. With his arrival in Istanbul, his name continues to be at the center of transfer speculation.
Entering the final week of the Russian Premier League as the leader, Zenit is two points ahead of its closest rival, Krasnodar. The St. Petersburg representative sits at the top with 65 points and will play away against Rostov on Sunday, May 17, in the final week of the league.
As the transfer window approaches, developments regarding Jhon Duran's future will be closely followed by the football community.
