Livakovic speaks to the Turkish press for the first time: A notable derby message

Fenerbahçe's Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic gave his first interview in Turkey to Sporx.

Livakovic described his transfer process to Fenerbahçe with these words: "Fenerbahçe stood out for several reasons. Livakovic described the legacy of Volkan Demirel with these words: "I had the opportunity to meet Volkan Demirel. He left a really good impression on me as a person. He is a great guy. He set high standards for every goalkeeper who wears the Fenerbahçe jersey. I am aware of the legacy he left behind and the responsibility that comes with it."

Livakovic described his championship goals with these words: "Fenerbahçe is a club with a very rich history and a tradition of success. I am aware of the desire and hunger the fans and the club have for a new championship. This season, our team shows great promise on this path, and we have a strong and united group of players dedicated to achieving our goals. Our goal is always to be at the top and fight for the championship. There is undoubtedly pressure on us for the championship, but we use this pressure as motivation. We are very well-focused on every match. We always aim for the best result. We will try to achieve our goals by maintaining this approach."

"THE STORY OF DERBIES IS DIFFERENT"

Answering the question regarding the derby they will face next week, Livakovic said,"With a willing game and team spirit, we achieved a beautiful victory in front of our fans. We showed that we are walking towards our goals. Now, another important match awaits us. In the long league journey, every match is actually worth 3 points, but the story of derbies is, of course, very different. I believe that we will perform well as a team against Beşiktaş and get a result that will make our fans happy. We are all aware of our responsibility. Together with our coach and our staff, we will prepare in the best way possible."

Livakovic gave this message to Fenerbahçe fans: "I am grateful for their tremendous support and for always being by our side. I hope we celebrate the championship together on Bağdat Street at the end of the season."
