Liverpool fans unfurl Atatürk banner
Fans of the English club Liverpool, who are guests of Galatasaray in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, unfurled a banner at RAMS Park featuring the words of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk regarding world peace.
In the away section, fans unfurled a banner with the English inscription, "Peace at home, peace in the world."
Meanwhile, Galatasaray fans likened the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex to "Hell" for the English visitors.
The fans made a reference to the "Welcome to hell" chant that became famous during the match where the yellow-reds hosted Manchester United in the early 1990s. In the east stand, fans unfurled a banner reading, "The world met here in hell. Welcome to hell."
Additionally, in the south stand, a banner reading, "You are alone in Sami Yen hell," was displayed, referencing Liverpool's "You'll never walk alone" chant.
