Liverpool's decision on Virgil van Dijk: Bad news for Galatasaray
It has been suggested that Liverpool does not intend to consider offers for Virgil van Dijk, who has been linked with Galatasaray and Milan.
It is claimed that Liverpool, one of the English Premier League teams, is not planning a departure regarding Virgil van Dijk, whose name has been linked with Galatasaray in the transfer market.
According to a report in The Athletic, the 34-year-old defender, who went on vacation after the Netherlands national team was eliminated from the World Cup, will return to Liverpool for pre-season preparations.
The report states that Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola trusts the experienced center-back and that the English club does not intend to consider any offers that may come in for Van Dijk.
Van Dijk's name is being linked with Italian Serie A side Milan as well as Galatasaray. The Dutch footballer's contract with Liverpool expires next year.
Having played in 55 matches for Liverpool last season, Van Dijk contributed 8 goals and 3 assists in addition to his performance in defense.
