Jorge Jesus' team Al Hilal defeated Al Ittihad 4-1 in the Saudi Super Cup final to take home the trophy.

After the match, Al Ittihad player Abderrazzah Hamdallah engaged in a verbal exchange with fans, and after he threw water at a fan, the individual struck Hamdallah with a whip he had with him.

Visibly angered by the whip strike, Hamdallah was removed from the scene by security forces.

Hamdallah had scored Al Ittihad's only goal in the match, which ended 4-1.
