Following examinations conducted by doctors today, an assessment was made regarding his suitability for surgery, but at the end of the day, it was decided that an operation was not possible.

In an official statement from the Bucharest University Hospital, it was stated, 'As a result of a comprehensive examination, it was determined that there are also circulation problems spreading to the stroke and lungs.' The hospital administration pointed out that due to Lucescu's condition, an operation would be too complex and high-risk for his body.
