Lukaku crisis at Napoli: Did not attend training
Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku's failure to attend Napoli's training session has raised allegations of disciplinary issues within the team.
Waters are not calming down at Napoli following the series of injuries Romelu Lukaku has experienced recently. While Lukaku, who was not included in the national team squad, went to Belgium for treatment, he has still not returned despite his club's summons.
The Napoli club announced regarding the matter that Lukaku did not provide any response despite being called to today's team training. In a written statement issued by the club for its 32-year-old striker, it was stated, “Napoli announces that Romelu Lukaku did not respond to the call for the resumption of training today. The club reserves the right to decide whether to impose appropriate disciplinary action and whether the player will continue in the squad permanently.”
Lukaku, who has been able to stay on the pitch for a limited time due to injuries he has suffered since the beginning of the season, has found the back of the net only once in the 7 matches he has played this season.
