According to the report in NtvSpor, it was stated that these changes were made as a result of a new six-year agreement between the English Football Association and the Premier League management, and that the tournament calendar has been modified. The exception regarding the cancellation of replays will continue to be applied in qualifying matches between teams from the 5th and 10th tiers.
