Manchester City cruises past Copenhagen
In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Manchester City defeated Copenhagen 3-1, the same score as the first leg, to advance to the quarterfinals.
In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, English side Manchester City hosted Danish representative Copenhagen.
The hosts started the match quickly, taking a 1-0 lead with a goal from Akanji in the 5th minute.
NO GOALS IN THE SECOND HALF
The English side extended the lead to 2 with a goal from Alvarez in the 9th minute, but could not prevent Elyounoussi's goal in the 29th minute, bringing the score to 2-1.
With Erling Haaland finding the net in the 45+3rd minute, Manchester City went into the locker room with a 3-1 lead.
As neither team could find the back of the net with their attacks in the second half, the English side won the match 3-1 and secured their place in the quarterfinals.
