Manchester United to part ways with Casemiro
Experienced Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reiterated his determination to leave the English Premier League side at the end of the season.
The contract of Manchester United's key player Casemiro is set to expire soon. Despite various claims suggesting he might stay with the team following his performance in recent weeks, the Brazilian footballer has put an end to these rumors. According to the club's official statement, Casemiro's adventure in Manchester will conclude at the end of the season.
Manchester United, which has achieved a steady rise under Carrick's leadership while maintaining its Champions League goal, had also faced questions regarding Casemiro's future. The 32-year-old footballer, who has drawn attention with his improved form recently, received chants of support from fans urging him to stay for another year. However, Casemiro clearly expressed his thoughts on these calls.
Casemiro, who was included in the Brazil national team squad for friendly matches, stated the following on the matter: "The announcement has been made. The love the fans have shown me is immense. I truly believe the decision has been made. I am enjoying it right now. I believe my final matches at Manchester United will be emotional," he said.
On the other hand, it was stated that the one-year extension clause in Casemiro's contract, which would have been triggered upon reaching a certain number of matches, will not be exercised by the club.
The 32-year-old midfielder has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 30 appearances for the red and white team this season.
