Martyr Fethi Sekin's son transfers to Galatasaray
Burak Tolunay Sekin, the son of martyr Fethi Sekin, has transferred from Altay to Galatasaray. Burak Tolunay Sekin will now wear the Galatasaray jersey.
Galatasaray has added a young name to its squad. The yellow-reds have transferred Burak Tolunay Sekin, the son of police officer Fethi Sekin—who was martyred in the terrorist attack on the courthouse in İzmir on January 5, 2017—from the Altay youth academy to the Galatasaray youth academy.
''HE WOULD HAVE WANTED TO SEE ME AT GALATASARAY''
In a previous interview, Burak Tolunay Sekin had stated, “My father would have wanted to see me at Galatasaray. He would have been proud of me,” and with this move, his dreams have now become a reality.
Burak Tolunay Sekin, who has also played in the lower age categories of the national team, had been playing in Altay's youth system since 2019 and was serving in the U19 team this season. Sekin plays in the center-forward position.
