Match star Onuachu speaks out: The comeback wasn't easy
Trabzonspor, hosting Gaziantep FK in the Süper Lig, left the pitch with a 4-2 victory. After the match, Trabzonspor's striker Paul Onuachu made statements. Onuachu said, "It is not easy to return from long-term injuries and play like this. Because my arm has not fully healed, I cannot say I am playing at 100 percent."
Trabzonspor faced Gaziantep FK in the 34th week of the Süper Lig. Trailing 2-0 at the end of the first half, Trabzonspor managed to leave the match victorious with a magnificent comeback in the second half.
Paul Onuachu, who delivered a performance of 3 goals and 1 assist for his team, made statements after the match.
Stating that they could not play the game they wanted in the first half, Onuachu said; "We did not show our best performance in the first half. We were a bit passive, we played passes we shouldn't have, but we are a big team. Our coach gave us confidence at halftime. In the second half, we played the game we needed to play calmly. We could have thought 'this is over' in the first half, but we didn't do that; we achieved this comeback as a team."
Responding to a question about his return from injury, the star footballer said; "It is not easy to return from long-term injuries and play like this. Because my arm has not fully healed, I cannot say I am playing at 100 percent. However, if you are an experienced player, you can find the right spots and make the right moves. I did that in the second half. What is more important is to see how high-quality your teammates are and to achieve this result all together."
