Mauro Icardi named athlete of the year in Turkey
Mauro Icardi received the 'Athlete of the Year' award at the GQ Men of the Year ceremony. Icardi received his award from his wife, Wanda Nara.
Taking the stage to present the award, Wanda Nara said, "I knew Istanbul because I had been here on vacation with the children before.
I bought a Galatasaray jersey for Francesca here, and a few years later, Mauro transferred to Galatasaray. Istanbul is a very beautiful city. I convinced Mauro to move to Istanbul.
Thank you very much to our new home, Istanbul. I am presenting this award to Mauro Icardi, who does everything he can for Galatasaray," she said.

Receiving the award from his wife Wanda Nara, Icardi said in his speech on stage, "Receiving the athlete of the year award here is very special for me.
