German footballer Max Kruse has ended his football career and started as a racing driver.

Kruse, who also played for Fenerbahçe, retired from football at the end of last year, having last terminated his contract with the Paderborn team during the 2019-20 season. Throughout his football career, Kruse recorded 162 goals and 134 assists in 558 matches, and also scored 4 goals in 14 appearances for the German National Team.

According to the report in Kontraspor, the 36-year-old former footballer was known for his notable performances in the Bundesliga, though he experienced a turbulent final few years. It was stated that Kruse, who founded a motorsport team called MaxKruseRacing in 2018, competed as a racing driver for the first time this year in the RCN and expressed that he was not satisfied with his debut performance at the Nürburgring.
