Mehmet Büyükekşi meets with FIFA President

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Büyükekşi met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the 74th FIFA Congress, held this year in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

According to the statement made by the TFF, FIFA President Infantino, who is interested in the "Dersimiz Futbol" (Our Lesson is Football) project, received detailed information from Büyükekşi about the initiative, which set out with a target of 1 million and reached 500 thousand students in 16 pilot provinces in just 6 months.

President Infantino pointed out that FIFA attaches great importance to introducing children to football at an early age, stating, "The TFF's 'Dersimiz Futbol' project is a very important and beautiful project. We are very pleased as FIFA to support this project."

The TFF was represented at the FIFA Congress by President Mehmet Büyükekşi, Vice President Mustafa Eröğüt, General Secretary Taner Senseven, and Director of Foreign Relations and National Teams Buğra İmamoğulları.

Important decisions were made at the FIFA Congress.

Following the application by the Palestine Football Association regarding the suspension of the Israel Football Association's membership, it was decided that a report would be prepared within two months to be submitted to the FIFA Council, and that the FIFA Council would convene to evaluate this report without waiting for its regular meeting time.

It was also decided to take a joint stance and act together against racism. In the general assembly, where past and future budgets were approved, Brazil won the right to host the 2027 Women's World Cup as a result of the voting.
