Mehmet Kaya becomes the new president of Gençlerbirliği
Following the resignation of Osman Sungur, Mehmet Kaya has been elected as the new president of the Gençlerbirliği Sports Club by a vote of the board of directors.
Mehmet Kaya has become the new president of Gençlerbirliği, replacing Osman Sungur, who stepped down from the position due to health issues and personal reasons.
At the board of directors meeting held today, Mehmet Kaya was unanimously elected as the 29th president of the club. The statement released by the capital city team included the following remarks:
"In the meeting held by our club's Board of Directors on October 8, 2025, Mehmet Kaya was unanimously elected as the 29th president of Gençlerbirliği Sports Club. We wish Mehmet Kaya success in his new role. Gençlerbirliği, the 102-year-old landmark of our Republic, will continue its journey under the presidency of Mr. Mehmet Kaya with a management approach worthy of its deep-rooted history."
