The 38 individuals detained on December 5, 2025, as part of the 'football betting' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were referred to the courthouse yesterday. Many names, including Mert Hakan Yandaş from Fenerbahçe and Metehan Baltacı from Galatasaray, were arrested by the court. Details regarding the suspects' statements to the prosecutor's office and their defenses in court have also come to light.
MONTHLY INCOME DECLARATIONS REVEALED
Mert Hakan Yandaş, who transferred to Fenerbahçe at the beginning of the 2020-2021 season and renewed his contract last year, declared his monthly earnings as '3.5 million TL' in his defense in court.
23-year-old Metehan Baltacı, who plays for Galatasaray and is currently serving a 9-month ban from football, stated in his court testimony that his monthly income is '1.5 million TL'.
