Drawing attention to the strength of Samsunspor, Kartal said, "We are very happy that we qualified for the Champions League. That is behind us now. We have the reality of the league this evening. We came here for our championship fight in the league, for the 3 points. Samsunspor is a good team. I know what they are capable of. We worked as much as we could. We want to take the 3 points and return home happy."
Stating that the joy experienced after the Lyon match should be a benchmark for Fenerbahçe, Kartal said, "We aim for the happiness we provided in the Lyon match to be the standard for Fenerbahçe. I hope we achieve this."
Pointing to the intensity of the fixture, Kartal added, "Lyon is behind us. We are thinking about the Samsunspor match ahead of us and the Beşiktaş match. We want to take 3 points with a performance worthy of ourselves."
Responding to a question about İrfan Can Kahveci's role, Kartal highlighted the player's versatility: "I know that İrfan Can Kahveci can play on the right wing, left wing, and as a number 10. I have known him for a long time. We have given him a task this evening. I hope he makes good use of it."
