Mesut Özil on Leroy Sane: 'I told him we would be happy if you come'
Former Fenerbahçe player Mesut Özil made positive remarks regarding Leroy Sane's transfer to Galatasaray and discussed his future projects.
Mesut Özil stated that he spoke with Galatasaray's new signing, Leroy Sane, before he came to Turkey. Özil emphasized that this conversation was not an attempt to influence his decision.
'WE WOULD BE VERY HAPPY IF YOU COME'
Özil said, "It is pleasing to see big names come to Turkey. I am happy that Sane is here too. We spoke with him before he came to Turkey. I told him that Istanbul is a beautiful and safe city and that we have great food. I said, 'We would be very happy if you come,' and he came. We wish him success," he expressed.
Mesut Özil also mentioned his plans to establish a football academy in Ümraniye. "Why not in the future? I am not thinking about it right now, but God willing, I will establish an academy as soon as possible. I want young people to showcase themselves in Europe, which is why I attach importance to the academy," he said.
