NEW PRACTICE IN REFEREE APPOINTMENTS
Meanwhile, the MHK also announced a new practice to be implemented for referee appointments.
In the statement made by the MHK, it was stated that the referees and assistant referees who will officiate in the matches will be determined by the Data-Based Appointment System (VeTAS).
The statement said, "A change has been made to the referee appointment system by the Turkish Football Federation Central Referee Committee. Starting from this week, referee and assistant referee appointments in the Trendyol Süper Lig and Trendyol 1. Lig will be carried out via VeTAS (Data-Based Appointment System). From the 20th week onwards, referee and assistant referee appointments in the Trendyol Süper Lig and Trendyol 1. Lig will be determined automatically using the VeTAS method."
Regarding the change, the following was added: "The data-based appointment method, integrated based on clear and transparent criteria, has emerged as one of the critical structural changes towards the professionalization of the refereeing system. In line with our principle of transparency, our clubs will have the opportunity to examine the system on-site through their representatives by making an official application. Gradual implementations regarding the refereeing system will continue in line with the strategic goals set for the institutional development and increasing the brand value of Turkish football."
