Mostafa Mohamed's Galatasaray confession
Former Galatasaray player Mostafa Mohamed has made statements regarding the process of his move to Galatasaray.
Former Galatasaray player Mostafa Mohamed, who currently plays for French Ligue 1 side Nantes, has made statements regarding the process of his move to Galatasaray.
"I HAD A BIGGER OPPORTUNITY THAN GALATASARAY"
Speaking to the French press, Mohamed said, "When I left Egypt, I struggled a bit. Honestly, it wasn't easy. When I went to Galatasaray, it was the first time I had left my country to become a professional, so it was difficult for me. At that time, Saint-Etienne was also in talks with me at the same time. I could have gone to Saint-Etienne; they were offering a bigger opportunity and a higher salary, but Galatasaray reached an agreement with Zamalek. However, the Galatasaray period was still positive for me."
When asked, "The club that made the transfer decision was Zamalek; would your preference have been Galatasaray or Saint-Etienne?", Mohamed replied, "It was my destiny."
"I AM VERY HAPPY AT NANTES"
Stating that he is very happy at Nantes, where he currently plays, the Egyptian striker said, "The Nantes club and the people who work there are very good. It is a club where I felt comfortable immediately. It was a different feeling due to the language barrier and a new country... It was my second year as a professional and I had to travel to another new country, so the situation was a bit difficult, but gradually everything became simpler and more enjoyable."
Mostafa Mohamed has made 19 official appearances for Nantes this season, recording 7 goals and 1 assist.
