Jose Mourinho has made a notable assessment regarding the comparisons being made between Real Madrid's national footballer Arda Güler and Mesut Özil.
Opposing the comparison of Arda to Özil based on playing style, Mourinho emphasized that the young footballer should not be evaluated by the career benchmarks of another player.
People keep comparing Arda Güler to Mesut Özil. But football is not just about style similarities. If we talk about achievements at Real Madrid, Arda has already won more trophies at the club. Instead of spending his career by someone else's standards, let him build his own legacy.
Mourinho's words come at a time when commentary regarding Arda Güler's development at Real Madrid and his future in European football is on the rise. The Portuguese manager sent a message that the national player should be recognized for his own identity.
