Mourinho reacts to celebrations: 'A penalty for Muslera? That says a lot'

Speaking at the press conference held after the match played at Ülker Stadium, Mourinho first responded to a question about whether he would conduct a season review with club president Ali Koç.

Mourinho also clarified the allegations that he would take charge of the Portuguese national team, saying, "I am a loyal person. The last time I had direct contact with a club, I informed Fenerbahçe. Emphasizing that he sees himself as successful in one regard, Mourinho noted the following:

"I am successful in terms of showing the whole world what kind of place the Turkish league is. A lot of people follow me all over the world, and now everyone knows what kind of league it is in Turkey. In this sense, I have no regrets about focusing on off-field matters. But I am not truly strong. Many things here are stronger than I imagined. We didn't lose anything. Because to lose something, you have to possess it. For example, you cannot lose the watch on my arm because it is on my arm. But we won the second tournament in this league; you can think of it as if there are two separate leagues. I am not satisfied with the situation we are in; we could have done better."

Speaking about the planning for the upcoming season, Mourinho continued his words as follows:

"I feel weak in this sense. My players and I can do better. But I don't know if this will be enough to have a good season. I am not talking about the planning for the next season or the squad issue. This is our internal matter. But our duty is to determine where we will be and on what dates before the season, and to create the training programs. All of these have been organized; the training level and which different teams will be in the preparation matches are clear. We will play our last preparation match at home 5 days before our Champions League match. All of these have been planned."

"Let me say this about Galatasaray's championship celebrations: the way you celebrate a championship shows your human condition. Fans are separate, but what you do as a club shows who you are. I think today's championship celebrations were a summary of their story throughout the season.
