Murat Kaytaz: From today, that old Beşiktaş is gone

Beşiktaş Assistant Coach Murat Kaytaz, in his statement following the 3-1 victory over Antalyaspor, said, "Goals never end at Beşiktaş. We must be in Europe. We will finish second or third in the league, and we will win the Ziraat Cup. Our goals will not end."

Murat Kaytaz: From today, that old Beşiktaş is gone

In the 12th week of the Trendyol Süper League, Beşiktaş defeated Antalyaspor 3-1 away from home. After the match, Assistant Coach Murat Kaytaz made evaluations regarding the game at the press conference.

Stating that Antalyaspor took the field with a different system following their coaching change, Kaytaz said, "We worked on principles of building play against the opponent's front-line press. We tried to infiltrate behind their 3-2 pressure, and we were successful in this, especially on the third goal. We worked hard to take advantage of Cerny's skill."

"WE WORKED A LOT ON SET PIECES"

Emphasizing the importance of set pieces, Kaytaz stated, "We worked a lot on set pieces this week. The goal we scored was a product of these efforts. We were good at pressing in areas where we lost the ball, though sometimes bad luck can happen. Our best gain today was that we did not see a score-protection instinct in the team. Even when it was 2-1, we remained calm and controlled the game."

"FROM TODAY, THAT OLD BEŞİKTAŞ IS GONE"

Saying that the team has shown physical and mental development, Kaytaz remarked, "We did not have a pre-season camp, and the values were not good when we arrived. We tried to recover during the international breaks. Now the players are more resilient and more confident. From today, that old Beşiktaş is gone."

Saying "Goals never end at Beşiktaş," Kaytaz continued his words as follows:

"The championship is gone, the towel has been thrown in, the lights have gone out. Is that it? Not for us. We must be in Europe. We will finish second or third in the league, and we will win the Ziraat Cup. Our goals will not end."

Finally, thanking the fans, Murat Kaytaz said, "They do not leave us alone even in away games. As long as we play our own strong game, we will not have any problems. We are working very hard, and we will achieve this with the quality of this team."
