Speaking after the match, the Uruguayan player said, "To be honest, we are very happy. We are reaping the rewards of all our hard work. We knew it would be a difficult away match, but we were well-prepared. We will play against the same opponent again in a few days. We know they are preparing extra hard against us. We are getting stronger through our work, and we have taken another very important step on the path to the championship."
"I APOLOGIZE"
Speaking about his career at Galatasaray, Muslera stated, "I may have good moments and bad moments, but I promised that I would always give my one hundred percent. This club has given me so much over 14 years. I have experienced great happiness. We are going to be champions for the third time in a row, and that is something that has been achieved very few times in Turkish history. It is gratifying to be written into history in this way. It is an honor to be a part of this. I want to give my one hundred percent. I apologize for the moments when I have failed. I am very proud to be a part of these successes."
STATEMENT ON THE FUTURE
Later, speaking to members of the press, Muslera said, "If you look at the archives, I said, 'I came here to win trophies.' I have won a significant number of trophies in 14 years. I am very happy to be at the biggest club in Turkey and to have won these trophies. I am proud and happy to live in this country. I have incredible memories. I will continue to give my 100 percent until the very last day."
When asked, "Will he stay or leave next season? Has he made a decision?" Muslera replied, "No, we haven't talked about it yet. We have no intention of discussing this until we become champions."
