Mustafa Kaplan, manager of Trendyol 1st League side Bitexen Giresunspor, stated that staying in the league at the end of the season would be as great an achievement as winning the championship.
In a statement on the club's website, Kaplan emphasized that the Boluspor match they will play at home on Sunday, October 22, is very important.
Expressing that they want to gift 3 points to Giresunspor fans in this match, Kaplan asked the fans to support their team once again and show that they are by their side in the stands.
Kaplan stated that he was satisfied with the performance and effort displayed on the pitch in the first 5 weeks of the league, but that they left matches they could have won with defeats due to individual errors made in recent weeks.
Underlining that the lack of alternative players in the squad puts them in a difficult situation in terms of gameplay, Kaplan noted the following:
"We are working very hard to overcome this. I am in constant communication with my players both on and off the pitch. We are putting in all the effort and dedication we can for Giresunspor to stay in the league, and we have a team capable of achieving this. Staying in the league at the end of the season will be as great an achievement as winning the championship."
Kaplan reported that Erol Can Akdağ and Ertuğrul Şenlikoğlu, whose injuries have ended, and Vukan Savicevic, who had health problems due to a flu infection, have started training with the team, while Talha Ülvan's injury continues.
