NAC Breda's response to Beşiktaş regarding Gastel
NAC Breda has denied permission for Jean-Paul van Gastel to join Beşiktaş as an assistant to new head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The Dutch club announced that van Gastel will remain with the team.
NAC Breda has announced that their head coach, Jean-Paul van Gastel, will not be joining Beşiktaş.
The Dutch club did not grant permission to Jean-Paul van Gastel, with whom Beşiktaş had been in talks to serve as an assistant to Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The club stated that van Gastel has decided to remain with the team.
The club's official statement included the following:
"Jean-Paul van Gastel's departure from our club for Beşiktaş is no longer on the agenda. Following our club's contact with the Istanbul team, the negotiations have concluded."
The same statement also included the following regarding van Gastel's situation: "Our club has clearly demonstrated its stance. We are working toward a challenge at NAC that we hope will have a positive conclusion."
