Gold medal for national athlete İnci Ece Öztürk at the World Bocce Championships
National athlete İnci Ece Öztürk won a gold medal at the World Bocce Championships held in France.
According to the statement made by the Turkish Bocce Bowling and Dart Federation, in the final of the precision shooting discipline held in the city of Rumilly, İnci Ece Öztürk defeated her Slovenian opponent to win the gold medal.
In the championship, Emine Dursun and Ayşenur Barış won silver in the women's doubles, while Buket Öztürk won silver in the women's precision shooting.
In the mixed doubles championship, Mehmet Can Yakın and İnci Ece Öztürk also secured a silver medal.
With 1 gold and 3 silver medals, Turkey finished second in the overall standings behind Croatia.

Turkish Bocce Bowling and Dart Federation President Mutlu Türkmen, who was quoted in the statement and watched the national athletes' competitions on-site, said, "We left our mark on the field by playing in 4 finals. With the 1 gold and 3 silver medals we won, we achieved a historic success by finishing second in the team rankings. We are now one of the most respected countries in the world in bocce."
