George Baldock, who plays for Panathinaikos, has been found dead in the swimming pool of his home.
Panathinaikos' 31-year-old Greek national player George Baldock was found dead in the swimming pool of his home in Glyfada, south of Athens.
It was stated that the circumstances of his death remain unclear for now and that the police are conducting an investigation into the matter.
The 31-year-old player had been playing for Panathinaikos since the summer. He was not known to have any specific health issues.
HE HAD PLAYED AGAINST OLYMPIAKOS
The late footballer had taken the field on October 6 in the derby hosted by Panathinaikos against Olympiakos alongside names familiar from the Süper Lig such as Anastasios Bakasetas, Willian Arao, and Tete, and was substituted in the 75th minute of the match.
NOT CALLED UP TO THE NATIONAL TEAM
Baldock had appeared in 12 matches for the Greece National Team, but this time, he was not included in the squad that will travel to London for the UEFA Nations League match to be played against England on Thursday.
